air flow system
Underfloor air systems have demonstrated to use 25-33% less energy and improve the comfort of occupants in the space as compared to overhead HVAC systems. The conditioned air is supplied directly into the occupied space at 16 to 18 degrees Celsius and at a pressure that is typically 20 times less than overhead systems. Underfloor systems consume less energy by moving low-velocity air through the open floor grates compared to higher velocity traditional overhead ducted systems. Underfloor air systems deliver improved indoor air quality by naturally displacing contaminants from the occupied space directly to ceiling returns. Individual control of floor-based diffusers provides improved personal comfort resulting in higher workforce productivity compared to typical overhead mechanical systems. An architecturally appealing face design complements any contemporary decor and is available as standard in a gray finish as well as a wide variety of custom colors. Flexibility in space planning, the diffuser, once installed in the access floor panel, can be quickly relocated to accommodate changing conditions and floor layouts.
